[upcoming show] Another Pair of Eyes (curation), Duddell's, Hong Kong
I am delighted to announce that I am taking on a role of artist-curator for Another Pair of Eyes at Duddell’s in Hong Kong. This exhibition brings together 4 influential collectors Michael Xufu Huang, Jehan Chu, William Lim and Cindy Cua-Tay.
Selected artworks from their collections together with various elements in Duddell’s, create a kaleidoscopic outcome. Also a series of “sculptural pedestals” I created as a part of my curatorial framework are utilized in the space.

Both collecting contemporary art and directing a well-curated restaurant can be considered acts of mapping our world. Each comprises multi-layered structures, utilising a variety of sources to draw on the past, present, and future. The outcome of each process provides a carefully-selected cultural stimulation that can be cognitively experienced, potentially re-configuring our senses. "Another Pair of Eyes" is a single compressed layer, so to speak, where the balance of both discreet and obvious protagonists resonates with a unique cultural cohesion to create a kaleidoscopic outcome. Yutaka Inagawa takes on the role of artist-curator, working with artworks from the collections of Jehan Chu, Michael Xufu Huang, William Lim and Cindy Chua-Tay, and with various elements in Duddell’s.
